Information on construction projects will be put in the public domain to promote good quality, sustainable infrastructure at a reasonable price, to reduce corruption and to promote responsible management of public finances."

  • November 12th 2008 First International Advisory Group (IAG) Meeting

    Following the recent appointment of Christiaan Poortman from Transparency International as Chair of the IAG, the first IAG meeting will be held in Manila on 29 and 30 January 2009. The meeting will bring together all IAG members from the pilot countries, DFID and the World Bank. The IAG Chair will visit Malawi, Tanzania and Zambia in early December in order to meet with CoST stakeholders ahead of the IAG meeting.

    This report summarises the discussions that took place at the official launch of CoST's pilot phase in Dar es Salaam, in May 2008.
