Pilot Countries
Pilot countries
CoST has been piloted over a two-year period in seven countries—Ethiopia, Malawi, the Philippines, Tanzania, United Kingdom, Vietnam, and Zambia. These countries endorsed and implemented the CoST principles and standards. The Multi-Stakeholder Groups (MSGs) in these countries have been receiving financial and technical assistance funded by DFID and through the International Secretariat. The pilot country MSGs are also represented on the CoST International Advisory Group (IAG).
The pilot is now closed and moving to the next stage of CoST as a global initiative. The pilot country MSGs continue to operate.
For more information on the pilot countries, see the left hand menu.
Associate Countries
Guatemala joined CoST as an associate country later than the original pilot countries. Due to the extraordinary commitment of its MSG and Champion, Guatemala has progressed rapidly and is now implementing the CoST principles and standards equally to the pilot countries. The Guatemala pilot has been supported regularly by the World Bank and by the International Secretariat and the IAG Chairman on request.
See the left hand menu for more information on Guatemala.
