Baseline studies
The baseline studies, procured by each MSG in accordance with standard Terms of Reference (available below), provide data and analsyis on the current levels of disclosure of Material Project Information (MPI) in each country.
The studies were used by MSGs to indentify the major systemic weaknesses and strengths in information disclosure; and informed the focus of CoST in each country. In the future, the studies will also provide the basis against any progress and changes can be assessed.
All pilot countries have now completed their baseline studies and they have been published. In many countries, the MSGs organised workshops with stakeholders to discuss the baseline results and their implications for CoST.
The International Secretarat has collected, analysed and recorded the baseline data and the learnings from the processes used to collect and analyse it. The draft international analysis available below, provides the highlights, main findings and lessons learned.
