Honduras: Lucky 13

Last week Honduras became the 13th country - and the third in Central America - to join CoST.  The announcement was made in Tegucigalpa on 14th August and took place during Honduras' first National Transparency Week.

President Juan Orlando Hernández made the announcement to a packed audience in the Honduras Presidential Palace.  The event was broadcast live on national television and was attended by central and local government, private industry, academic institutions and NGOs. Read more

Honduras elects Interim MSG

An Interim MSG has been elected to oversee establishment of the CoST Honduras programme. The election formed part of a ‘CoST Stakeholder Workshop’ that was held last week in Tegucigalpa.


The Interim MSG was tasked with designing disclosure and assurance and processes that are appropriate to the particular circumstances in Honduras. Read more.

Exciting consultancy opportunity

CoST is recruiting an experienced consultant or team of consultants to carry out an independent evaluation of CoST.

Since 2011, CoST has been principally supported by a $1.5m grant from the World Bank Development Grant Facility. The aim of the evaluation is to assess the effectiveness of CoST since the commencement of the Grant Agreement and the extent to which the Grant Agreement objectives have been achieved.
